About the role
The Facilities Engineering and Design Team at Olsson is dedicated to providing comprehensive services for various types of projects, including large commercial developments, healthcare facilities, laboratories, educational institutions, data centers, and military installations. Our team excels in engineering analysis, design services, and professional consulting, ensuring top-tier quality and world-class installations. Additionally, we offer building inspection and forensic investigation services.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform detailed engineering tasks including project design, cost estimates, and design calculations utilizing advanced knowledge and experience.
- Prepare project documents, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget, aligning with project objectives.
- Independently tackle complex assignments, developing new and improved techniques and procedures.
- Cook up with other Olsson teams and direct team members on design tasks to maintain alignment with project goals.
- Work closely with project managers on the execution of design work, reporting overall progress and managing potential challenges to meet project objectives.
- Assist with the project scope of work and schedule and may attend client meetings to foster strong partnerships.
- Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of less experienced staff, providing mentorship and guidance.
- Maintain project and client information within the firm’s project management system.
Qualifications

- You have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- You must be a registered professional engineer with at least six years of relevant engineering experience.
- You are proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, with a strong understanding of International Building Codes.
