WSP is seeking a Project Supply Chain Coordinator for our Waco, TX location. This is a field role operating primarily in construction environments to support execution of construction activities.

About the role

The Project Supply Chain Coordinator directly supervises and manages material storage site(s) activity on a WSP project where we provide Supply Chain Management (SCM) and/or Material Management services. The role is accountable for operations at one or multiple sites, ensuring the 3C’s (Care, Custody, and Control) are maintained over safeguarded material. Additionally, the role conducts project material-related analysis to provide insights and support project needs. Employees primarily work on location at project construction sites in Waco, TX. Yard work hours are from 7am – 4pm, though responsibilities may require arriving prior to opening or staying after closing.

Responsibilities

  • Performs supply chain and logistics functions, including material/services procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection, and distribution.
  • Coordinates and integrates the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and customers.
  • Ensures inventories are secure, properly identified, and readily accessible to authorized personnel.
  • Maintains controls over various types of inventories (e.g., raw materials, subassemblies, finished goods).
  • Conducts physical inventory counts and reconciles results with inventory records.
  • Ensures quantities of incoming and outgoing shipments are correct.
  • Analyzes inventory levels and coordinates with production and sales requirements.
  • Coordinates inbound and outbound logistical operations, including inventory management, warehousing, and transportation to ensure sufficient supply of goods and products.
  • Analyzes transportation and distribution systems and procedures to ensure efficient and economical delivery of the organization’s products.
  • Conducts detailed analysis of inventory in comparison to project needs (site, schedule).
  • Manages and fosters the development of personnel assigned to them.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant post-education experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in an inventory controls role.
  • 3-5 years of quantifiable experience in Supply Chain Management practices.
  • Extreme proficiency in the Office 365 suite of software, with an emphasis on Excel. Advanced Excel knowledge is beneficial.
  • Experience in collaborating on projects as a value-added member.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for multiple hours on a rocked surface.
  • Must be able to walk over 10,000 steps a day on a rocked surface.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and/or manipulate materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be willing to spot equipment on the yard during operations, traveling to/from storage locations, and loading trucks with equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with Maximo systems.
