About the role

As a Project Management Director, you’ll be responsible for department-related management services within an assigned geographic market, program, or client account to achieve the company's strategic business objectives. This role is part of the Project Management function and involves managing projects from initiation through completion.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to employees, including monitoring training and development, conducting performance evaluations, and coaching.
• Oversee recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new employees.
• Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities, including setting work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
• Set and track staff and department deadlines.
• Direct all phases of the process for small to medium-sized clients, including procurement, contracting, planning, tracking, and execution.
• Ensure contract procurement, negotiation, execution, administration, and closeouts are accurate, timely, and compliant.
• Develop new business growth and maintain existing business relationships.
• Maintain full responsibility for the financial performance of market, program, and client accounts.
• Identify project risks, lead reviews, and develop risk mitigation and backup plans.
• Apply robust knowledge of multiple disciplines and key drivers that impact departmental and cross-functional performance.
• Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
• Persuade managers and colleagues to take action aligned with the organization’s functional business plans.
• Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers to reach common goals.
• Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex operational and organizational problems using appropriate resources.
• Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the job discipline.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.
• Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, performance measurement, appraisal, and retention.
• Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
• Leadership skills to set, manage, and achieve targets with a direct impact on department results.

Skills

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
• Sophisticated math skills, including calculating percentages, fractions, and financial-related figures.
