About the role
The Water Business Group at HDR is seeking experienced Project Managers to lead our programs. HDR is a 100% employee-owned firm that offers a comprehensive range of services in water management, including utility master planning, wastewater treatment, drinking water treatment, flood protection, and more. This role is ideal for someone who can manage both small and large-scale projects, build strong client relationships, and lead technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and manage projects from small to large scale.
- Coordinate and balance work across planning and design teams.
- Build and maintain lasting client relationships.
- Lead internal and external meetings, workshops, and technical discussions.
- Interface with governing agencies during project reviews and permitting processes.
- Conduct and facilitate work sessions focused on design development and contract documentation.
- Track project budgets, monitor financial performance, and align resources.
- Perform technical analyses and prepare clear, concise engineering reports.
- Mentor and provide leadership to junior engineers.
- Support firm-wide initiatives and perform additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 7 years related experience
- A minimum of 2 years project management experience
- Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license
- MS Office and MS Project experience
- Demonstrated leadership skills

Pay
The expected compensation range for this position is $103,000 - $205,000 depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.

This is a Full-time Employee Status role.
