Project Manager - Water

About the role

The position is located in El Paso, TX and involves managing significant treatment facility projects in Texas and surrounding states. Responsibilities include design and management of projects related to water and wastewater treatment plants, master planning, pump stations, storage facilities, and wastewater lift stations. Coordination with other support disciplines, regulatory agencies, and quality assurance and quality control are also part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Manage scope, budget, and schedule for a team of multi-disciplined project engineers, design engineers, and CAD technicians in the development of various projects for Garver’s Water Business Line.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Develop detailed project instructions, scope of work, level of effort, and associated man-hour estimates for project budgets.
• Monitor project accounting and keep accurate records.
• Prepare and execute Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans.
• Lead internal and external project workshops.
• Continuously learn and adapt to project needs and Garver’s overall needs.
• Conduct construction engineering administration management, excluding construction observation, for local projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 4 or more years of similar technical experience in design and construction of municipal water and wastewater facilities.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas.
• Strong knowledge base of engineering principals related to water and wastewater facility projects.
• Basic understanding of multi-disciplined practices required for water/wastewater facility improvements.
• Strong communication skills.
• Passionate about client service and the water industry.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, and Outlook.
• Ability and passion to reach out to existing and new clients for business development purposes.
