About the role
The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.
Major Responsibilities
- Provide strategic project leadership and ensure alignment across multiple concurrent projects within a matrixed, highly complex, and regulated environment.
- Develop and implement strategic technical project plans that align with organizational objectives and foster effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Oversee the execution of complex technology projects by managing project resources, budgets, and timelines while mitigating risks and addressing roadblocks.
- Champion continuous improvement by identifying process optimization opportunities and incorporating best practices.
- Proactively lead risk mitigation efforts by resolving issues through structured problem-solving, collaboration, and appropriate escalation.
- Clearly communicate project status, risks, and impacts to stakeholders, tailoring messaging to suit different audiences.
- Design, develop, and manage milestone plans in a dynamic environment, adjusting to evolving project requirements.
- Ensure project initiatives are delivered on time and within budget, while supporting organizational processes in a dynamic environment.
- Partner cross-functionally with business and partner groups to provide strategic and tactical thought leadership to effectively deliver against project commitments.
- Work with cross-functional teams and influence others to work toward common goals, regardless of resource and time constraints.
- Report on project status, risks, issues, and key decisions to stakeholders across the organization; escalate critical concerns as needed.
- Track project-related financials, including software, hardware, and resource allocations.
- Ensure capital investments related to project delivery are managed efficiently and aligned with organizational priorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, information Technology, Computer Engineering, Finance or related.
- 12+ years of project management experience leading cross functional programs.
- 10+ years of experience working in the financial services industry.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project efforts.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management in a highly regulated environment, with the ability to quickly establish structure and manage work in a dynamic, complex environment.
- Demonstrate a commitment to collaboration by supporting team development and knowledge sharing.
- Excellent communication and partnership skills are essential for engaging with stakeholders at all levels across the organization, as well as external partners, to manage, inform, and influence outcomes.
- Able to understand, communicate, and manage technical details and dependencies of projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
