PROJECT MANAGER (UTILITY INDUSTRY) - FTC

Duties And Responsibilities

• Cook up project team personnel and resources.
• Build and preserve client, engineering personnel, and consultant relationships.
• Compile reports about project financial performance.
• Watch and manage cost control and change management systems.
• Attend and lead project meetings, including progress, pre-construction, and pre-award.
• Create and maintain site logistics plans.
• Prepare trade contracts and bid packages with assistance from Estimating Team.
• Coordinate with other departments to align with CLP goals and client needs.
• Manage procurement process with Purchasing Department.
• Track and balance resources across multiple projects.
• Set up Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures and conduct inspections.
• Collaborate with Safety Director to communicate and enforce corporate safety program.
• Handle other tasks as directed.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, & Experience

• Five to seven (5-7) years of project management experience required (construction or utility experience preferred).
• Previous experience with City Light & Power may be substituted for project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience with blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to view time/cost/labor estimates for projects and services.
• Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products.
• Adequate analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills required with the ability to delegate work appropriately.
• Work successfully as a Team Player with various partners from start to finish.
• Ability to always maintain discretion and confidentiality.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

• You must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• You will be required to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance.

Compensation & Benefits

• CLP offers an excellent benefits package including health, dental, life insurance, 401(k), profit sharing, paid time off, and holidays.
• Salary range: $75,000-$95,000/year depending on experience plus eligibility to participate in Short Term Incentive Plan.
