Responsibilities
- Play a vital role in ensuring a high level of safety on jobsites while overseeing the development of project budgets and scope of work plans.
- Perform site visits, review specs and drawings, and secure necessary permits.
- Troubleshoot areas of concern on existing projects.
- Communicate effectively with customers, engineers, subcontractors, and the construction team to provide complete status updates and coordinate pre-construction meetings.
- Maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation to contribute to the successful execution of each project.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements and the timely completion of work, manage subcontractors' schedules, and approve invoices.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in heavy civil underground utilities construction.
- A preferred college degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
- An estimating background is beneficial for this role.
- A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required for travel purposes, as the position involves approximately 30% travel with overnight stays.
Qualifications
- Exceptional communication skills are essential for regular interactions with customers, engineers, subcontractors, and the construction team.
- Proficiency in computer tools such as Excel, Word, and Outlook is necessary for effective project management.
