Project Manager - Traffic Engineering
About the role
At HR Green, our Project Manager – Traffic plays a critical role in shaping transportation systems that enhance mobility, safety, and connectivity. This role offers the opportunity to lead impactful traffic and ITS projects across Arizona while working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities
- Lead traffic engineering projects including traffic studies, signal design, ITS systems, and signing and striping plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated transportation solutions
- Take ownership of project scope, schedule, budget, and overall delivery
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships
- Mentor and guide engineering staff while fostering a collaborative team environment
- Support business development efforts including proposals, client outreach, and industry involvement
- Participate in quality reviews to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- Professional Engineer license in Arizona (MUST HAVE)
- Familiarity with project delivery processes of agencies in Arizona is a plus
- Eight or more years of experience in traffic engineering, ITS, or related projects
- Experience with traffic studies, signal design, and traffic analysis tools such as Synchro or SimTraffic
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar design tools
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Involvement in professional organizations such as ITE, ITS America, ASCE, or APWA is a plus

Pay
The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
