Project Manager: Traffic Department

Project Manager- Traffic Department Job Summary Brudis & Associates, Inc. (BAI) is actively seeking a Traffic Engineer/Project Manager for immediate employment in our Columbia, Maryland office. The qualified candidate will supervise other staff as part of the design team and complete traffic engineering design project assignments. The projects will include, but are not limited to, traffic design for maintenance of traffic (MOT), signing, pavement marking, and signals, along with cost estimation associated with design, traffic engineering studies and analysis, speed studies, and signal timing (evaluation and optimization), and review and verification of data collection for manual/machine traffic counts and inventory programs. Responsibilities And Duties Work independently and as a team to complete smaller projects or portions of larger projectsWork on traffic engineering design/analysis for transportation improvement projectsUse advanced knowledge of engineering software, such as MicroStationPrepare task assignment proposals (scope and man-hour estimates)Contribute to proposals associated with business development and contract pursuitsSupervision of, between 2-3 junior design engineers/technicians Qualifications And Skills BSCE in Civil EngineeringMinimum of ten (10) years of experience in traffic engineeringRegistered Professional Engineering in Maryland (or ability to obtain reciprocity)Registered Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE)Knowledge of SHA, Maryland County DPW, and other State DOT Guidelines/proceduresKnowledge and ability to work using MicroStation, AutoCAD and other engineering design software programsKnowledge and ability to use Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, and other traffic analysis software programsExperience supervising staffMust have excellent written and oral communication skills Expected Salary Range: $95,000.00 to $135,000.00 per year.
