About the role
The Project Manager at Susser Bank will be responsible for planning, executing and delivering multiple projects that support banks technology strategy. The PM acts as the central coordinator between business leaders, technology teams, vendors, and different stakeholders within the bank to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and in compliance with banking regulations.
Responsibilities
- Define project scope, objectives, success criteria, and delivery approach (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid)
- Develop and maintain an integrated project plan that outlines milestones, timelines, dependencies, and resource needs
- Lead day-to-day execution of the project plan, ensuring work progress as scheduled
- Coordinate internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to keep delivery on track
- Act as the central point of coordination between business leaders, technology teams, vendors, and partners
- Facilitate regular status meetings and provide clear, concise updates on progress, risks, and decisions
- Manage scope to prevent uncontrolled changes and ensure alignment with approved objectives
- Track project timelines, milestones, and budget, taking corrective action when variances occur
- Proactively identify, document, and manage project risks and issues
- Ensure projects follow Susser Bank standards, governance expectations, and internal policies
- Serve as the primary liaison with vendors and implementation partners
- Provide accurate, timely project status reporting to leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related, required
- Proven experience managing multiple technology initiatives in parallel
- Strong understanding of Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery models
- Ability to scale project management rigor based on project size and risk
- Experience in management of delivering technology solutions such as:
- System implementations and upgrades
- Application development or modernization
- Data, cloud, or infrastructure initiatives
- Security or regulatory-driven technology changes
- Comfortable working with cross-functional and distributed teams
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Skills and Qualifications
- PMP (Project Management Professional) – PMI
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
- Experience with Office 365 administration and enterprise collaboration platforms
