About the role
The Buildings team at Stantec is dedicated to transforming the built environment through innovative design solutions. As a Project Manager, you will be involved in the planning, design, and implementation of complex telecommunications, data, video, security, and network systems.
Responsibilities
- Project Involvement: Approximately 85% of time. Telecommunication services, Voice, Data and Video transport systems, Electronic Security systems, Nurse Call/Clinical Communication systems, Systems Integration concepts, Data/Wireless Network topologies.
- Design Leadership: Translating client and owner requirements into drawings, specifications, cost opinions, technical reports, and assessments.
- Project Management: Representing Stantec on local and regional levels as a recognized technical expert, maintaining awareness of operational, technical, or regulatory changes, and delivering client drawings, specifications, presentations, reports, and other deliverables.
- Client Interaction: Actively participating in client meetings, representing Stantec in communications with government agencies, commercial organizations, and healthcare organizations, and providing site inspection and implementation management for technology systems.
- Technical Expertise: Applying industry, technology, and project management expertise to meet client requirements/deliverables within established timeframes and budgets, collaborating with multidisciplinary design teams, and developing and delivering client presentations.
- Learning and Development: Developing knowledge of technologies, trends, and markets, pursuing additional knowledge in related disciplines, and preparing white papers and articles for industry publication.
Requirements
- Excellent client communication and relationship skills.
- Experience in technology analysis and design, including writing, communications skills, and public speaking.
- Deep understanding and knowledge of voice/data systems, IT/telecommunications, wireless systems, electronic security systems, and audio-visual systems.
- Fluent in best practice design techniques and planning methodology.
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes and technology standards (NEC, BICSI, ANSI/TIA, FGI, etc.).
- Ability to explain complex problems and issues in understandable terms to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong understanding and experience with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Experience in healthcare technology, biomedical engineering/clinical engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, or Electrical Engineering.
- Eight (8) years' experience in the analysis, design, installation, maintenance, and/or repair of systems, systems, or directly related systems.
- RCDD certification is highly desirable.
- Revit experience preferred.
- AutoCAD or similar drafting software experience is also desirable.
- CCNA, PE, CTS, PMP, PSP etc., are preferred.

Pay and Schedule
This position offers a competitive salary range based on location and experience. The pay range for this role is $111,200.00 - $166,900.00 annually in some locations, and $119,300.00 - $179,000.00 annually in others. The position is full-time with a flexible work schedule requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. Travel is required to meet engagement/client requirements, with up to 10% of the work month involving independent travel.
