About the role
Responsible for overseeing the exploration and mapping of subsurface utilities in urban environments. Key tasks include site surveys, data collection, and coordination with utility companies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough site surveys to identify and map underground utilities
- Collaborate with utility companies to obtain necessary permissions and access
- Collect and analyze data using advanced GIS software
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety protocols
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in subsurface utility engineering or related field
- Proficiency in GIS software and data analysis tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of local building codes and zoning regulations
- Experience with utility conflict resolution
