Project Manager - South Central
About the role
The Project Manager (PM) at Meteor is responsible for the successful execution of assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction and profit protection. This role involves managing the order process, overseeing installations, and maintaining project documentation.
Responsibilities
- Attends project meetings to establish project scope and manage from purchase order to completion.
- Collaborates with the Studio Team to deliver exceptional customer journeys.
- Coordinates tasks, schedules, and logistics based on project parameters and customer goals.
- Develops work plans and ensures complete turnover of project information.
- Leads the customer journey and communicates project updates proactively.
- Maintains detailed project documentation and manages record keeping.
- Coordinates installations with third-party companies and supervises site furniture and fixture installation.
- Manages logistics and ensures timely delivery of documents.
- Performs project walk-throughs and resolves punch lists.
- Manages project close-out requirements and submits invoices.
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent work experience.
- MVR check and valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce.
- Project Management accreditation preferred.
- Exceptional customer service and leadership skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Information Technology (IT) Requirements
- Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Proficient in Salesforce software.
- Proficient in Meteor-specific software including Insights Customer Portal and ERP.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level is usually low to moderate. The work hours vary by client needs and may occasionally require working holidays and/or weekends.
Orientation
All Meteor new hires are expected to attend an in-person cultural orientation, which typically takes place 3 to 6 weeks after their start date and requires travel to our home office in Gainesville, FL. This one-week experience is focused on company culture, values, and connection across teams and is separate from role-specific job training. Employees may also be asked to travel for annual company meetings or other business events. All required business travel expenses are covered by Meteor in accordance with our travel and expense policy.
