Project Manager - Solar

This role oversees the safe, profitable, and efficient execution of electrical projects, ensuring high levels of customer and employee satisfaction. The Project Manager drives safety, quality, productivity, and financial performance while identifying new business opportunities and mentoring others. Responsibilities

• Project & Financial Management:
  • Manage financial aspects of projects including costs, billing, collections, and forecasting to maintain profitability
  • Track accounts receivable and working capital
  • Evaluate project goals based on labor, materials, and equipment resources; develop and implement strategies for efficiency
  • Manage change orders and pursue additional work opportunities during projects
  • Share manpower, resources, and tools across branches and departments
• Customer Satisfaction & Development:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers; ensure high-quality service
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly
  • Survey customers, achieve minimum satisfaction ratings, and follow up on feedback for continuous improvement
  • Prospect for new business leads and develop opportunities through networking
• Safety/Hazard Recognition & Elimination:
  • Pre-plan and identify methods to eliminate hazards daily by work tasks
  • Observe and address unsafe habits or hazards in others
  • Uphold safety as the top priority; support the goal of zero accidents
  • Promote open communication between field and office regarding safety concerns, suggestions, and PPE needs
  • Obtain required safety training

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management/Sciences, Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Building Science, etc.), or related field preferred
• Extensive experience/knowledge of electrical construction, finance, and management
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to apply innovative and effective leadership techniques to maximize employee performance
• Exceptional organizational and documentation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all levels of the company and customers
• Positive safety attitude and personal integrity (non-negotiable)

Physical Requirements

Office and field environment requiring sitting and standing. Travel to various work sites is essential, exposing the employee to outdoor elements, noise, and the need to stand and walk.
