Project Manager / Site Civil Engineer

What You'll Do

• Serve as a lead / senior civil engineer on a variety of site/civil project types.
• Take a leadership role and perform general and specific portions of project or as part of a team with other experienced engineers.
• Work under supervision of a Program Manager, however able to organize workload and work independently on project-specific design tasks.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
• Serve as the primary client liaison, building and maintaining strong relationships while identifying opportunities for additional services.
• Prepare and review engineering plans, technical reports, calculations, and specifications to ensure quality and compliance.
• Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Prepare and review permits such as ERPs (Environmental Resource Permits), FDEP NPDES, SWPPP, Grading, Utilities (FDEP and FDOH), and Civil Support for local county/city site development permitting.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including planning, environmental, transportation, and surveying.
• Proactively identify risks and develop practical, cost-effective solutions to keep projects on track.
• Ensure all designs meet local, state, and federal regulations as well as CPH’s high-quality standards.

What You'll Bring

• Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. 8+ years of experience in site/civil engineering. Proven experience managing site development projects and client relationships. Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain quickly) strongly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong experience with site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater design. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Familiarity with local permitting processes and regulatory requirements. Experience with project management tools (Deltek Vision, Smartsheet, or similar) is a plus.
• Professional Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and deadlines. Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional results.
