About the role
This opportunity is for a Project Manager & Seller with expertise in natural resources and environmental permitting.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage natural resources and environmental permitting projects
- Develop and execute project plans, budgets, schedules, and deliverables
- Cook up field assessments, sampling programs, and report preparation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulators, and stakeholders
- Identify new business opportunities, prepare proposals, and lead presentations
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in ecology, natural resources, environmental engineering, environmental planning, or a related discipline (MS preferred)
- 7-10+ years of related experience
- Demonstrated success in client development and business growth within the environmental consulting industry
- Strong understanding of federal and state/local environmental permitting (e.g., CWA Section 404/401,) and/or National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical report writing and proposal development
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
- Flexibility to travel based on project-specific or business development requirements
- Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Strong networking skills and a passion for building lasting client relationships
