About the role

This opportunity is for a Project Manager & Seller with expertise in natural resources and environmental permitting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage natural resources and environmental permitting projects
  • Develop and execute project plans, budgets, schedules, and deliverables
  • Cook up field assessments, sampling programs, and report preparation
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulators, and stakeholders
  • Identify new business opportunities, prepare proposals, and lead presentations
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in ecology, natural resources, environmental engineering, environmental planning, or a related discipline (MS preferred)
  • 7-10+ years of related experience
  • Demonstrated success in client development and business growth within the environmental consulting industry
  • Strong understanding of federal and state/local environmental permitting (e.g., CWA Section 404/401,) and/or National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical report writing and proposal development
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
  • Flexibility to travel based on project-specific or business development requirements
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Strong networking skills and a passion for building lasting client relationships
