Project Manager – Self-Perform Concrete Division (Huntsville, AL)

Essential Functions Of The Role

• Supervise all direct responsibilities of the Assistant Project Manager; in the absence of an APM, these responsibilities shall be handled directly
• Oversee submittal and RFI processes
• Oversee job close-out requirements
• Support jobsite safety enforcement
• Develop and manage project schedules
• Track and report project progress
• Maintain project costs
• Enforce risk management parameters established by the Project Executive
• Manage change orders and support dispute resolution

Relationship Management

• Establish and maintain relationships with the design team and Owner counterpart
• Build and maintain relationships with project subcontractors and vendors
• Ensure positive community exposure
• Participate in at least one industry or community service organization
• Take a leadership role in a community service project
• Engage with the BLHI business development process

Requirements For Advancement

• Mastery of cost control systems and a demonstrated history of training direct reports
• A strong understanding of building components, trade sequencing, durations, and scheduling tools/protocols
• An in-depth knowledge of BLHI estimating systems and procedures
• A proven history of internal and external relationship management
• A strong alignment with and promotion of BLHI Corporate Values
• A working knowledge of contract language and commitment to learning
• A working knowledge of risk management principles
• An active participation in business development efforts

Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel, Primavera P6 (or similar scheduling software/application), Timberline PJ (or similar project management software/application), Viewpoint (or similar AP software/application), and general proficiency in Navisworks, Revit, and SketchUp.
