Project Manager - Security Systems

About the role

The Project Manager - Security Systems is the overall manager for assigned project(s), ensuring all contracted work is developed, implemented, installed, and managed in accordance with the Company’s requirements for safety, quality, management, and financial performance. The role involves efficient oversight of staffing, materials, financials, customer care, and delivery goals.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, manage, supervise, promote, discipline, and discharge security systems project-related staff as necessary.
• Manage all human resource issues per Company policies and escalate when needed.
• Recommend performance ratings, promotions, and pay changes for project-related employees.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to meet customer and Company goals.
• Manage workload distribution and monitor customer delivery and job installation progress.
• Plan, manage, monitor, and maintain project profitability to achieve Company goals.
• Review job cost postings for accuracy and completeness, including invoice preparation, customer collections, and financial reporting.
• Manage quality and safety issues on customer projects.
• Participate in and/or facilitate the bid process.
• Act as the Company liaison for customer interface.
• Create, develop, and implement account process improvements.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Self-motivated, professional, and capable of leading teams to implement project process improvements.
• Proven problem-solving, critical thinking, and oral/written presentation skills.
• High skill level in interpreting blueprints and project documents (specifications, reporting, quality requirements).
• Ability to travel within branch or regional territory as needed.
• Proficiency in learning Company and customer project management systems.
• Ability to secure and maintain a Company-sponsored American Express Card.
• Proficiency with trade tools: punch tool with 110 block and 66 block blade, 6/8 position combo crimp tool, Krone/3M/BIX, butt set, volt-ohmmeter, 4-pair continuity tester, and 5-gang punch tool.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
• Minimum five (5) years of verifiable experience in security systems, access control, and CCTV.
• Preferred experience with products from manufacturers: Bosch G Series, Bosch Ready Key Pro, Bosch Video, UTC/GE Intrusion, UTC/GE Access Control, UTC/GE CCTV, DSX, Software House, VideoIQ, EST 2 & 3 Fire, and Fluid Mesh.
• Minimum five (5) years of supervisory or managerial experience.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in telecommunications or a related technical/construction field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
• Meets Company minimum driving standards.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to define a project, create a scope of work, develop tasks, and manage to final completion and customer turnover.

Pay

Annual salary range: $90,000 – $110,000 USD.
