Project Manager Scrum Master
Two openings | 6-month contract with option to extend | Remote, Central time zone aligned
About the Role
Our client is standing up dedicated AI delivery teams inside its enterprise IT organization and needs two experienced Scrum Masters to run them. This is not a coordinator role. These teams are building and deploying AI and advanced analytics capability against real operational problems inside an established enterprise environment.
You will be the person who protects delivery cadence while the teams figure out how to run AI work inside a structure originally built for traditional software.
The Two Teams
Track A: Supply Chain AI
Focused on applying AI and analytics to supply chain operations. Expect work touching demand and inventory intelligence, planning, procurement, logistics, and warehouse operations.
The right person here has run agile teams inside supply chain or operations technology and understands that a planner's month-end does not pause for a sprint review.
Track B: Enterprise AI (Pricing and Product Information Management)
Focused on broader enterprise AI initiatives, starting with Pricing and Product Information Management. This is data-heavy work: product master data, pricing logic, and the integration and governance layers underneath both.
The right person here is comfortable when the sprint output is a validated data model or a scored pricing recommendation rather than a shipped feature, and can hold a team accountable to outcomes that are harder to demo.
Responsibilities
- Run all agile ceremonies for your team: sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives
- Partner with the Product Owner to keep the backlog healthy, prioritized, and actually ready for the team to pull from
- Surface and drive resolution on blockers, dependencies, and cross-team handoffs before they cost the team a sprint
- Track and report delivery metrics that leadership can act on: velocity, cycle time, predictability, and impediment aging
- Manage dependencies across enterprise IT, data engineering, business stakeholders, and any external partners
- Coach the team and its business partners on agile practice, including business partners who have never worked in a sprint cadence
- Adapt agile mechanics to fit AI and data science work, where discovery, experimentation, and model iteration do not fit neatly into two-week increments
- Keep documentation, tooling, and reporting current so the work is visible to stakeholders who are not in the room
Requirements
- Five or more years running agile teams as a dedicated Scrum Master
- Demonstrated depth in Scrum, with working knowledge of Kanban and scaled agile approaches
- Experience running teams inside a large enterprise IT organization, including managing dependencies across functions
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skill, with the credibility to push back on scope and hold a line on team capacity
- Proficiency in enterprise agile tooling such as Jira or Azure DevOps, including building the reporting leadership expects
- Availability to work core Central time zone hours
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing background, or adjacent industrial, distribution, or supply chain environment
- Experience supporting AI, machine learning, data science, or advanced analytics teams
- Track A: supply chain, ERP, WMS, planning, or logistics technology delivery
- Track B: master data management, PIM, pricing systems, or enterprise data and integration programs
- Active certification: CSM, PSM I or II, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent
