About the Role

The Project Manager oversees programs to ensure activities are carried out in accordance with established specifications, schedules, and budgets. They coordinate interdepartmental functions to minimize delays and meet with project team members regularly to review program status and plan future actions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the efforts of functional departments to ensure programs align with sales orders and budgets.
  • Interface with customers on schedules, meetings, and problems, keeping them informed on program status.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate project operations through PDR, CDR, FAI, and product delivery.
  • Plan and maintain systems and procedures for operating efficiency.
  • Manage staff for optimum performance.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact for cost, schedule, technical performance, customer satisfaction, and risk management.
  • Develop and manage project schedules to identify and meet critical milestones, ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality products.
  • Coordinate engineering system development, design, integration, testing, and certification to meet the master program schedule.
  • Conduct cross-functional design reviews.
  • Coordinate diverse cross-functional teams (technical and non-technical) internally and externally, including OEM customers, engineering, production, product support, management, contracts, finance, and sales.
  • Implement budgets, program tracking tools, and routinely monitor cost performance and financial profit and loss for all programs.
  • Lead executive and program reviews onsite at customer facilities and participate in all aircraft milestones with OEM and airline customers.

Requirements

  • BS or BA undergraduate degree in a related field of study; Project Management Professional (PMP) or related certification preferred.
  • If holding an MS or MA graduate degree in a related field, 3-4 years of prior work experience in Project/Program Management is acceptable.
  • Generally, 5-7 years of experience in Project/Program Management, with a minimum of two (2) years in a Project/Program Manager role managing single lower-priority projects/programs.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple lower-priority projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work safely and professionally while adhering to OSHA, EPA, State, and Federal regulations.

Skills

  • Comprehension and execution of broad practices within Project/Program Management.
  • Strong coordination and leadership of cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in budget management, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Commitment to company values, policies, and continuous improvement processes (Lean, P3E).
