About the role

RAM Construction is a leading Commercial General Contractor specializing in tenant improvements, ground-up construction, and retrofits to existing buildings. Our specialized experience allows us to provide clients with an economical and reliable solution in various sectors, including healthcare, education, life science, corporate office (tenant & landlord), co-working/creative office, entertainment, industrial, and retail and hospitality.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Full project responsibility in all areas of construction and construction management.
  • Perform project pre-construction activities including, estimating, bidding, value engineering, and scheduling.
  • Manage project scheduling, scheduling updates, schedule management, and documentation.
  • Ensure project quality control and quality assurance that construction meets or exceeds the plans, specifications, codes, and approved shop drawings.
  • Handle change order estimating, tracking, and commitments.
  • Document, correspond, record, paperwork, shop drawings, submittals, procurement schedule, RFI’s etc.
  • Communicate openly with management.
  • Train and develop team members for overall company growth.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred) OR equivalent experience working for a commercial GC.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing projects in commercial construction.
  • Adept knowledge of all principals of construction, methods, techniques, print reading, contracting, and construction management.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (Procore), accounting cost management software (Procore), and scheduling software.
  • 100% detailed/hands-on knowledge of project scope.
  • Experience with running multiple projects, preferably within RAM Construction’s core markets.
  • Excellent listening skills and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to create and support team morale.

Schedule

7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, an employee is regularly required to sit for long periods; stand; talk and hear both in person and by telephone; and use hands to operate, finger, handle or feel office equipment; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk, climb, stoop or bend and lift up to twenty-five pounds. Must have the ability to walk up and down the stairs several times a day.
