Project Manager - Road & Bridge

About the role

This is a full-time position based anywhere in Bangladesh, focusing on infrastructure projects for RHD and LGED. The role involves engineering surveys, design input, quantity calculation, site supervision, contractor management, and coordination with government organizations for road and bridge construction.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engineering surveys for selected roads and other structures including Box girder and PC girder bridges
• Provide inputs into the design process; prepare the Bill of Quantities as per the final design drawings and calculate the final quantities
• Assess work activities for which labour-based construction methods are appropriate and for those sections for which heavy machinery is appropriate; establish a cost estimate for the rehabilitation and construction works for roads & bridges
• Make any necessary changes to the design drawings as per the site conditions
• Supervise contractors on site, ensuring that the works meet the highest standards
• Review the contractor's work programmers, resource, schedule and project implementation plans and ensure that the contractors/site supervisors comply with their work plans and complete the work within the specified time frame
• Assess and evaluate the contractor's performance and resources
• Liaison with governmental organizations on any issue that arises
• Any other job as per management's requirement

Requirements

• Experience: 12+ years
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (CE)
• Having experience in RHD / LGED projects
• Having experience in piling work
• Skills: road construction, construction supervision, civil engineering design, construction industry knowledge, construction management, civil engineering, site engineering, structural engineering knowledge
