Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end project delivery—planning, staffing, budgeting, and execution across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Manage schedules, resources, and deliverables to ensure on-time, on-budget success.
  • Collaborate with clients, agencies, and internal teams to build strong partnerships.
  • Oversee technical designs, ensuring compliance with AREMA and client standards.
  • Prepare reports, cost estimates, and documentation that tell the story of project success.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers in rail bridge design, rehabilitation, retaining wall design, culvert design, and construction staging.
  • Champion safety and quality at every stage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s in Structural Engineering preferred).
  • 7–10 years of experience in bridge design, rehabilitation, and construction with a railroad focus.
  • Previous project management experience is required.
  • Professional Engineer Licensure (Structural Engineer License preferred).
  • Proven track record with Class I Railroads, Passenger Rail, and/or transit agencies.
  • Expertise in AREMA standards and rail structure design.
  • Railroad bridge inspection experience, with construction inspection or construction management as an added benefit.
  • Strong leadership, client management, communication, and multitasking skills.

Pay

The approximate compensation range for this position is $110,000–$175,000 per year. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
