Project Manager, PULSE
About the role
As a Manager Project Manager at Capital One, you will drive strategy and execute on high priority projects within the Global Payment Network for the company. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define detailed requirements that align with the overall intent
- Lead assigned Agile team to ensure delivery and acceptance requirements
- Report out metrics / KPIs on results of sprints to key stakeholders; build and share roadmaps to provide awareness on upcoming feature delivery
- Lead moderate to large complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction to projects, peers, and direct reports
- Design, develop, and manage project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements
- Ensure projects are documented appropriately to mitigate risk and to be delivered on time
- Leverage problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent
- Partner cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery
- Build relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments
- Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project / program efforts
- Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment
- Display a passion for coaching and developing a team of associates through leadership
- Use excellent communication and partnership skills to interact and communicate with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform, and influence outcomes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
- At least 7 years of Project Management experience
- At least 2 years of experience using Jira to manage requirements, lead planning, and develop/utilize reporting to track metrics
- At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office and Google Productivity suites
- At least 2 years of Agile, Scrum, or Kanban project management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, or a Master's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 8+ years of project management experience
- 3+ years of people management experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification
Pay
The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on the agreed-upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
- Chicago, IL: $138,100 - $157,700
- Houston, TX: $138,100 - $157,700
- Riverwoods, IL: $138,100 - $157,700
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long-term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
