About the role
We are seeking a Project Manager – Product Development to lead new product development from concept to release, project organization, budget reviews, supplier coordination, global cross-functional collaboration, and coordination of production and testing.
Responsibilities
- Define, develop, plan, and manage new product development, HARTING Customized Solutions, and Operations initiatives
- Lead the project team through the new product stage gate process while managing prioritizations, resource allocation, risk management, budget management and improvement processes
- Document clear and detailed project plans including goals and the key deliverables, resources and timelines required to achieve success; provide corrective action or escalation if necessary
- Develop and maintain timelines and schedules while staying nimble and adjusting to unforeseen events or multiple scenarios
- Participate in product quality processes, product forecasting and inventory management, product pricing and product design
- Build alignment and lead collaboration with other departments including: Sales, Customer Service, Custom Solutions, Product Management and Production Management
- Establish, develop, and maintain supplier and co-manufacturer relationship for new product development
- Resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts and bottlenecks within and between projects or functional areas
- Prepare reports and track KPIs for the steering committee and management
- Establish a trusted partner relationship with internal and external customers, internal team, and other project stakeholders
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 5-10 years of experience in Project Management, Engineering Management, or related field
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Project or other tools to develop and maintain projects schedules within Supply Chain, Finance, or Engineering
- Experience in outsourcing to, and managing third-party suppliers; and the ability to multi-task while successfully working cross-functionally within the organization
- Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) or related certification preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish or German a Plus
- Experience in SAP preferred
- Ability to travel up to 20%

Benefits
- Compensation: Competitive base salary: $100,000 - $120,000 (commensurate with experience, subject to change dependent on physical location).
- This role is eligible for a 10% discretionary annual bonus.
