Project Manager – Process & Manufacturing Engineering

They are looking for a skilled Project Manager – Process & Manufacturing Engineering to join their growing team in Middlesex County, MA. Job type: 1 year contract Job Summary The Contract Project Manager, Process & Manufacturing Engineering, is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing engineering, material characterization, qualification, regulatory compliance, and facilities-related projects. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, and Product Management, to ensure projects are completed on time and meet business, quality, and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include managing qualification programs, coordinating material testing, maintaining databases, supporting compliance initiatives, tracking project milestones, and providing facilities administration support. Job Responsibilities Project Management: Plan, prioritize, coordinate, and track multiple projects to ensure timely completion of deliverables and resolution of project risks or obstacles.Junction Qualification: Coordinate material procurement, sample conditioning, internal and external testing, test report preparation, and qualification database maintenance.Particle Library Management: Manage multi-site particle library activities, coordinate testing, maintain databases, prepare reports, and operate FTIR equipment for particle material identification.Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate material characterization and compliance initiatives related to PFAS, REACH, RoHS, USP, and other regulatory or customer requirements.Documentation and Reporting: Organize technical and supplier documentation, track project milestones, and communicate project status, risks, and progress to stakeholders.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, Product Management, and other teams to drive accountability and project execution.Facilities Administration: Manage work orders, purchase requisitions, invoices, vendor documentation, equipment service requests, preventive maintenance schedules, calibrations, and asset management activities.Continuous Improvement: Support operational efficiency, effective prioritization, and timely completion of critical business objectives. Job Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biological, Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or another relevant scientific or engineering discipline.At least five years of experience working in regulated industries, including two or more years of project management experience.Strong project management, organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.Experience coordinating multiple projects and cross-functional teams.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder management abilities.Proficiency in databases, data analysis, reporting, and project tracking tools.Preferred experience in regulated manufacturing environments, such as biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, or life sciences.Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), validation practices, and quality management systems.Preferred experience in facilities administration, equipment maintenance coordination, and asset management software such as BMRAM or Maximo.Familiarity with material characterization, analytical testing, FTIR spectroscopy, and regulatory compliance requirements is beneficial.
