This position is onsite in Kissimmee, FL and is relocation eligible.

About the Role

The Project Manager Principal is responsible for major internal projects for SkyWater FL. Must have the ability and interest to understand complex system interactions in business and IT environments. Demonstrated success functioning in a start-up environment. Excellent understanding of project dependencies and defining critical path. Possess the ability to influence without position authority, direct resources, enforce processes, and ensure projects are executed on time and within budget. This position offers the opportunity to define and execute the vision for the entire site and provides a high degree of exposure to executive management.

Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership – Work closely with leadership to overcome challenges, ensuring projects align with company strategic goals and provide structure to execute projects.
  • Project Planning – Oversee complex multi-year projects. Detailed planning, execution, and tracking of projects; escalate issues and change of scope requests.
  • Project Execution – Take full ownership of the project lifecycle and evangelize team success as a high-impact leader. This dual responsibility enables high-quality delivery while building a strong, visible culture of winning in FL.
  • Project Financial Management – Report on project budget including vendor management; work with customers and the data analytics team to support project scope.
  • Relationship Management – Build a common team and mission for the site. Empowered to host workshops, hold team celebrations, and create a culture of winning and excitement in the work SkyWater FL does.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a technical business-related discipline.
  • Experience: 5+ years in semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, or IT roles. Demonstrated project management skills and a history of successes in past work. Previous experience required working in a startup environment.
  • Skills:
    • Curious problem solver, ability to understand and present complex information simply and with confidence.
    • Desire and ability to work at different levels of the organization seamlessly.
    • Excellent skills in relationship building and influencing without position authority.
    • Deep understanding of project critical path and relentless drive for execution.
  • Citizenship: US Citizen OR US Person.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Atlassian Certificate or medium+ Jira/Confluence skills.
  • CAPM/PMP certification.
  • Understand the basics of databases and using SQL/scripting methods to retrieve data, develop insights to drive solutions to problems.
  • Basic understanding of AI in workflows and processes.
  • Ability to develop Tableau reports that provide clarity and actionable data to support site/project objectives.
  • Demonstrated capability in building new IT/Business process frameworks and greenfield factory setup experience.

Pay

The annual salary range for this role is $136,960 - $205,440. Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
