About the role

A Project Manager with 5 to 10 years of experience is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects within an organization. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed successfully, on time, within scope, and on budget. The Project Manager plays a vital role in delivering value to the organization and its stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve project goals, providing guidance and direction.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure projects remain within budgetary constraints.
  • Define project scope, monitor changes, and document and communicate these changes as necessary.
  • Identify potential project risks, develop risk mitigation plans, and proactively address issues and challenges.
  • Create project schedules and timelines, monitor progress, and implement advanced project management methodologies to streamline processes.
  • Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders, keeping them informed of project progress and addressing concerns.
  • Implement quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet established standards and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and project closure reports.
  • Address project issues and conflicts, work with team members to find solutions, and escalate issues to senior management when necessary.
  • Ensure all project objectives are met, obtain sign-off from stakeholders, and conduct post-project evaluations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in power generation, power delivery, renewable energy, or heavy industrial settings.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as project management, business, or a technical discipline.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other relevant certifications.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Advanced understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile or Scrum.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced organizational and time management skills.

Skills

  • Proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Work Environment

Candidates must be located in Atlanta or Birmingham, or willing to relocate at their own expense. The role requires travel throughout the project footprint. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, necessitating effective communication and adaptability.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
