About the role

The Project Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of work on assigned projects, from concept through closeout. This includes project safety, coordinating the design efforts of multi-disciplinary design teams, managing schedules and budgets, developing cost and technical proposals, contract negotiation, risk identification and management, client development, managing client expectations and overall client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of multi-disciplinary engineering projects from concept through completion.
  • Manage project safety and safety in design.
  • Coordinate environmental studies and permitting (federal, state, local).
  • Plan, estimate, and engineer projects.
  • Develop cost and technical proposals.
  • Negotiate contracts.
  • Identify and manage project risks.
  • Develop and maintain project scope, schedules, and budgets.
  • Manage project communication.
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities.
  • Mentor and train project team members.
  • Provide performance feedback for project team members.
  • Implement project policies and procedures.
  • Participate in group and Global Practice business planning, workload forecasting, and resource planning activities.
  • Report regularly on progress, cost and schedule metrics, procurement issues, safety or environmental concerns, design questions, potential impacts, and any issues requiring additional support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience in design engineering, including 3 or more years of experience managing engineering projects.
  • Completion of a master's degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of experience.
  • Demonstrated success in project management.
  • Prioritization of client needs and satisfaction.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Skills

  • Ability to execute multiple small projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence, lead, and manage change thoughtfully and positively.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software.

$155,000.00 - $300,000.00 yearly
