Project Manager, PD&E
About the role
A leadership opportunity exists with Stantec for a Project Manager, PD&E. We are seeking a highly motivated person who will work closely with Stantec’s leadership on the planning and development of transportation infrastructure including major arterials and complex limited access highways and transit agencies throughout Florida.
Responsibilities
- Leading and developing technical discipline teams and performing as a project manager or task leader on transportation planning and PD&E projects.
- Client development, coordinating the project pursuits and proposal preparation.
- Performing as a senior technical lead in the development of concepts, reports, and studies.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships that allow us to have a positive impact on the communities we serve and grow our people through work on exciting and challenging projects.
- Develop value-added solutions to clients' needs and lead the successful pursuit of contracts for engineering and consulting services.
- Increase the company's profile within the transportation industry through participation with appropriate business and professional organizations.
- Planning, organizing, and supervising the work of other transportation professionals.
- Effectively negotiating, planning, monitoring and delivering quality projects and consulting services.
- Reviewing engineered designs and plans for conformance with applicable state, regional & local agency standards.
Requirements
- 10+ progressive civil engineering highway/roadway transportation planning and/or design experience.
- Proven experience managing all aspects of roadway infrastructure development including transportation planning and traffic engineering, corridor studies, and Project Development and Environment (PD&E) studies.
- Experience in successful project pursuits including identifying opportunities, client engagement, developing teaming strategies and developing proposals.
- Thorough understanding of codes, legal and design requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to lead a team on multiple assignments.
- Strong client interaction and relationship skills.
Credentials
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed in the State of Florida is preferred.

Pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
