Project Manager - Organizational Readiness, Communications and Training (Remote)
This position resides within the Process & Support Department, supporting the federal employee health benefit program organization and their clients with navigation change, ongoing communications, training, and process updates. This role will support special projects, monthly communications deliverables, customized training events, and organizational initiatives. Primarily remote, with occasional in-person support as needed.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage small to mid-scale projects to ensure successful delivery of objectives on time and within budget.
- Initiate, engage, and motivate cross-functional teams to deliver results.
- Identify and mitigate risks, escalating as needed.
- Track progress and drive documentation to support project needs.
- Provide end-to-end leadership for implementations, integration, business readiness, and communications.
- Designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, track schedules, and mitigate risks.
- Provide project management support, including reporting, deliverable tracking, and documentation for medium-size projects.
- Act as a liaison across all areas to ensure effective and efficient project goals, scope, progress, and completion.
- Coordinate issues internally and externally to promote accurately represented information.
- Evaluate implications of existing or proposed projects, programs, processes, and policies/regulations; recommend improvements.
- Provide direction and motivation to project teams in a matrixed environment.
- Foster a collaborative culture to drive outcomes.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including management and vendors.
- Lead project execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Business, or related field OR an additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
- 3 years of experience in a project-related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to use generative AI tools such as CoPilot.
- Ability to use graphic design tools such as Canva.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to exercise good judgment.
- Experience with project planning and life cycle development.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct reports but may informally lead teams in a matrix environment.
Pay
Salary range: $69,624 – $138,281. The range considers factors such as scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education/training, internal peer equity, and market conditions. Compensation decisions depend on individual circumstances, including experience, internal equity, and location.
