Responsibilities
- Lead the functional evaluation of Oracle’s quarterly updates from a business perspective.
- Identify "Opt-In" features that align with HR strategy and determine the impact of mandatory "Always-On" features.
- Minimize custom "bolt-on" solutions by driving the adoption of "Modern Best Practices" embedded within Oracle HCM Cloud.
- Partner with IT and HR Leadership to maintain a roadmap for process enhancements and module expansions.
- Own the functional design for modules, including Core HR, Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll, ensuring seamless data flow between them.
- In partnership with IT, proactively manage dependencies between Oracle HCM Cloud and interconnected platforms such as Cornerstone, GenSuite, and Risk Connect, as well as other Oracle Fusion Cloud modules.
- Perform impact analysis on all system change requests to mitigate risks to the global data model and ensure that end-to-end data integrity is preserved across the entire technology landscape.
- Partner with the Security Lead to ensure that Custom Job Roles are updated after each release.
- Ensure that "Privilege Creep" (giving users more access than they need) is managed.
- Continuously monitor and identify opportunities to improve the employee and manager self-service experience to drive high adoption rates.
- Define and monitor process health metrics using OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence) to identify bottlenecks and areas for automation.
- Work with the HR and IT team to identify reporting and analytics requirements that drive business value.
- Utilize HR analytics and data-driven insights to provide insights and actionable recommendations to support informed decisions.
- Audit and adopt AI agents where there is alignment and automation opportunities with Vulcan business processes and user experience.
- Ensure that AI-driven features (like candidate ranking, attrition prediction, or performance benchmarking) do not violate EEOC standards.
- Map HCM data flows into AI engines to ensure no PII (Personally Identifiable Information) is used inappropriately.
- Manage a "Model Inventory" that documents what data feeds which AI feature, and the business justification for it.
- Establish a cadence for "Model Validation" to ensure that the Oracle AI tools continue to produce accurate results in the current business environment.
- Act as the business lead for configuration changes, ensuring localized requirements do not compromise the global template.
- Partner with Change Management to translate functionality releases and patches into "Business Value" language and impact for end-users.
- Champion the continuous evolution of the HCM suite by evaluating new features and leading the change effort to integrate high-value functionality into the business.
- Lead the Internal HCM Super User Community through quarterly "Feature Spotlights."
- Represent the organization within Oracle Cloud Customer Connect and Regional User Groups (RUGs) to influence the Oracle product roadmap.
- Advocate for new functionality (through IDEA submission and participation in office hours).
- Effectively allocate project resources for workstreams and system enhancements.
- Provide guidance, support, and performance feedback to project team SMEs, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management or a related field.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in HR/HRIS/Payroll with proven experience in HR digital transformation.
- Previous HRMS management or related roles with a strong focus on technology and process improvement are highly desired.
- Proficiency in Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management systems and project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira) is strongly desired.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud HCM.
- Deep knowledge of HCM Cloud Workflow/Approval Rules and Security Profiles.
- Mastery of Oracle's Cloud Lifecycle frameworks, including the orchestration of quarterly update lifecycles (environment management, regression testing, and go/no-go decisioning).
- Proficient in using OTBI and FDI to extract data, validate process efficiency, and provide actionable business insights.
- Strong understanding of cross-functional data impacts and "Living in the Cloud" architectural standards to ensure system stability.
- Active engagement with Oracle Cloud Customer Connect to preview upcoming features and influence the product roadmap.
- Expert at leading cross-functional teams and external consultants to deliver complex system enhancements on time and within budget.
- Proactive identification and resolution of functional bottlenecks or Service Request (SR) delays to safeguard project timelines.
- Ability to make sound, rapid decisions in high-pressure or ambiguous situations.
- Exceptional ability to translate complex technical "patches" or configurations into "Business Value" and "User Impact" for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills to mentor project SMEs and collaborate across diverse global workstreams.
