About the role

The Project Manager is responsible for Custom Engineering projects, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, testing, and delivery. They assist other team members, work on departmental projects, and support budgets, variance, and schedules. Reporting to the Sr Manager, Project Management, this on-site role is based in Shrewsbury, MA.

Responsibilities

  • Support project lifecycle from pre-order sales support through final customer acceptance, ensuring alignment with standard work.
  • Responsible for achieving key performance indicators (Within Specification, On-Time, and Within Budget).
  • Communicate proactively with internal teams and customers, managing expectations and updates throughout the project.
  • Drive performance outcomes by meeting KPIs (On-Time, Within Budget, Within Specification) and managing multiple complex or strategic projects.
  • Apply risk management principles to identify, mitigate, or present options for resolution to issues that impact quality, delivery or budget of the project.

Requirements

  • 5+ years previous experience in engineering, operations, process development or project management within the life sciences industry – with a focus on process engineering disciplines (process development, design, commissioning, and validation).
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of project management software (Basecamp, MS Project).
  • Previous experience in performing equipment testing (FAT, SAT, commissioning, and qualification).

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of industrial experience (biotechnology and pharma) in engineering or manufacturing operations.
  • Practical application of pharmaceutical / biologics regulations.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the biotech/pharma industry.
