About the Role

D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the planning and execution of multi-unit construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and manage project timelines, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  • Plan and direct construction activities of field personnel and assigned staff.
  • Set up temporary project facilities and utilities.
  • Manage project-specific correspondence, including submittals, change requests, and daily field reports.
  • Review field purchase orders and provide budget reporting.
  • Ensure all invoiced work meets company specifications and is 100% complete.
  • Maintain safety standards in accordance with OSHA and state regulations.
  • Manage project turnover to Customer Service, including punch-list completion and homeowner orientations.
  • Train, communicate, and develop Superintendents and field personnel.
  • Collaborate with sales, customer service, and management teams to resolve issues and ensure quality.
  • Maintain relationships with subcontractors, city inspectors, and officials.
  • Handle escalated subcontractor issues.
  • Conduct site walks to monitor construction status and quality control.
  • Respond to unsatisfactory survey cards and NRS responses.
  • Manage project close-out and final documentation.
  • Conduct business professionally and ethically to enhance customer satisfaction and company profit.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Five years of related experience and/or training.
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle required.
  • Strong project planning, time management, and leadership skills.
  • High degree of construction knowledge and management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Knowledge of municipal permitting, regulations, and building codes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction and cost control.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, email, and DRH Construction applications.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, high-production environment.
