About the role
The Construction Project Manager will oversee projects from preconstruction through final closeout, ensuring successful delivery while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and procurement activities
- Administer contracts, subcontract agreements, and project documentation
- Coordinate design, engineering, and construction activities throughout the project lifecycle
- Lead project meetings and communicate progress to key stakeholders
- Monitor project financials and ensure adherence to budget objectives
- Identify potential project risks and implement solutions to maintain schedule and cost goals
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project reporting
- Ensure compliance with quality control and safety standards
- Coordinate project closeout activities, punch list completion, and turnover documentation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout project execution
Requirements
- 5–10 years of construction project management experience preferred; open to emerging Project Managers with at least 1 year of experience independently leading projects
- Proven ability to manage projects with minimal oversight
- Strong ownership mentality and accountability for project outcomes
- Experience with design-build delivery methods preferred
- Technical construction, building systems, or MEP-related experience is highly desirable
- Experience working in regulated, occupied, or operational environments is a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred, but not required
- OSHA certification preferred
- Additional industry certifications are a plus
- Proficiency with project management and construction software
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
