About the role

The Project Manager position requires coordination and delivery of multiple, simultaneous projects considered small to medium in complexity with financial impact between $250K and $7M. The Project Manager has fiscal responsibility for all project facets, including project billing, job cost reporting, and overall customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the execution of project/program solution plans for clearly defined sub-projects or sub-programs.
  • Be responsible for delivery of results for respective process steps.
  • Guide technical or administrative staff and act as a functional process resource on projects or programs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement plans and perform an active role in maintaining functionally focused client relationships.
  • Be responsible for several projects of varying size and obtain PM@Siemens certification for C Projects ($2.5M).
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and project-specific documents to establish project intent.
  • Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team.
  • Identify time-sensitive installation needs and manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects.
  • Review plans and specifications and participate in project cost reviews.
  • Assist Operations Manager in the solicitation and contracting of subcontractors.
  • Conduct orientation for project technicians and provide project documentation, including scope of work, drawings, applicable specifications, application-engineered drawings, and project contacts.
  • Track resources and project progress; document project events that impact the schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency.
  • Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities.
  • Coordinate and pursue project-specific billing; coordinate with Accounting team and Operations Manager.
  • Schedule project-specific commissioning resources and provide commissioning documentation.
  • Expedite the return of project-specific mark-ups for as-built development.
  • Complete project-specific close-out documentation.
  • Effectively manage and coordinate subcontractors to meet scope, scheduling, and financial requirements.
  • Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures; report unsafe conditions and actions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of project management experience within the MEP industry.
  • Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to customers.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to read and understand MEP drawings and specifications, and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard communication protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, and BACnet.
  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree.
  • 8+ years of project management experience within the building automation controls industry.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $83,966 - $134,942 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may vary depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
