The Project Manager - Manufacturing Operations/Supply Chain will lead and coordinate enterprise-wide supply chain, procurement, logistics, inventory, and operational improvement initiatives. This role serves as the central project management resource, driving execution, accountability, governance, cross-functional collaboration, and technology-enabled process improvements across manufacturing operations and supply chain functions.Client DetailsOur client is a well-established manufacturing organization focused on operational excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement across a diverse portfolio of products and business units. The company is investing in process optimization, technology advancement, and supply chain transformation to support long-term growth and operational performance.Description Key Responsibilities Establish and manage project governance frameworks for supply chain and operations initiatives.Lead enterprise-wide projects spanning procurement, strategic sourcing, inventory management, logistics, transportation, distribution, and operational excellence.Manage project execution from initiation through implementation, ensuring alignment with business goals and performance metrics.Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.Coordinate cross-functional teams and facilitate collaboration among stakeholders across multiple business functions.Maintain project documentation, action items, project repositories, and status reporting.Monitor project milestones, deliverables, budgets, dependencies, and overall project health.Drive accountability by ensuring ownership of tasks and successful completion of deliverables.Facilitate project prioritization and resource allocation across operational and supply chain teams.Create and maintain dashboards, workflows, sprint boards, roadmaps, and executive project updates.Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to project performance, cost, risk, resource utilization, and business impact.Lead project post-mortems, lessons learned sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.Support evaluation and implementation of supply chain technologies, automation solutions, AI-driven tools, and process optimization opportunities.Partner with IT and business leaders to assess system integration opportunities and improve operational efficiency.Build business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and ROI models for process and technology investments.Coordinate pilot programs, testing efforts, and deployment activities for approved initiatives.Ensure project objectives, scope, success criteria, and expected outcomes are clearly defined and communicated. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.Profile Qualifications 5+ years of project management experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives.Experience managing projects in manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, logistics, distribution, or operations environments.Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.PMP, CAPM, Scrum Master, or other project management certifications preferred.Experience utilizing project management tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, Monday.com, ClickUp, Basecamp, or similar platforms.Strong understanding of supply chain processes, procurement, strategic sourcing, inventory management, and logistics operations.Experience working with ERP systems and business process improvement initiatives.Demonstrated success managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project management methodologies.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.Strong leadership, facilitation, and relationship-building capabilities.Ability to drive accountability and achieve results through cross-functional collaboration. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.Exposure to automation, digital transformation, AI-enabled business solutions, or supply chain technology implementations.Experience developing business cases, investment analyses, and operational performance metrics.Familiarity with ERP integration projects and enterprise system implementations.
