Project Manager – Manufacturing & Customer Programs
About the role
Our client, a specialty chemical manufacturer supporting commercial, military, and aerospace customers, is continuing to grow and looking to add a Project Manager to their program management team. In this role, you’ll oversee 2–6 customer programs at a time, with contracts ranging from $5K to several million dollars. This is a great opportunity for someone who has experience managing projects within a manufacturing environment and is looking to take on a larger scope. You’ll work closely with customers, engineering, and operations while helping drive projects from initial discussions through completion. You’ll be reporting to a highly collaborative and easy-to-work-with leader who gives his team the autonomy to make an impact while still providing the support they need to be successful.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of concurrent customer projects and internal initiatives
- Coordinate across engineering, operations, and leadership to drive execution
- Interpret technical drawings/blueprints and align deliverables to contract requirements
- Support quoting activities, including input into bid/no-bid decisions
- Define project scope, timelines, and resource allocation across multiple workstreams
- Track budgets, milestones, and project performance across several active projects
- Identify risks, prioritize competing demands, and adjust plans accordingly
- Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and project profitability
- Establish metrics and reporting frameworks across projects
- Ensure compliance with contractual, quality, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience required
- Strong project management background required
- Able and willing to work onsite daily
