Project Manager/Management

Reporting to the Reliability Superintendent, the Maintenance Reliability Engineer for the Arkansas Kraft Division will have primary responsibility for electrical equipment reliability, Root Cause Failure Analysis, Maintenance Best Practices, and engineering support for the Maintenance department for troubleshooting and corrective actions.

• Managing asset quality; ensuring the manufacturing reliability of equipment focusing on reducing and minimizing process downtime.
• Working closely with area production managers to establish objectives consistent with the Arkansas Kraft Division’s vision and strategy.
• Providing strong leadership and clear communication of Arkansas Kraft’s strategy and short-term tactical objectives to ensure accountability and understanding by employees at every level within the mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance, and reliability group.
• Leading and managing activities around asset management by maintaining and enhancing the plant’s property and equipment, building PM/Pd.M. programs for Maintenance, improving substandard facilities, and requesting funds to upgrade facilities through budgets and capital funding requests.
• Performing preventive maintenance inspection (PM), diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding major equipment/components including but not limited to:
  • Electrical distribution
  • High- and medium-voltage breakers
  • Starters, motors (AC and DC)
  • Variable frequency drives
  • Transmitters
  • Analytical equipment
  • PLC/DCS systems
• Leading others by communicating effectively with team members (bilingual is a plus).
• Demonstrating strong analytical and technical skills.
• Exhibiting teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Solving problems and implementing corrective actions in areas with no previous experience.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. Experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
• A PE license and/or CMRP designation are preferred.
• Current repair and maintenance skills for industrial electrical and instrumentation equipment required—at least 5 years' experience preferred.
• Experience in a highly automated process manufacturing environment, preferably in a commodity-driven, low-cost business.
• Thorough knowledge of power distribution and high- and medium-voltage motor control systems.
• Ability to read plans, prints, and sketches and use them to direct fabrication or repair.
• Flexible schedule; ability to work overtime, odd and unscheduled hours as required, and share on-call duties.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, or kneel for long and short periods of time.
