About the role

The Project Manager at Clayco plays a pivotal role in orchestrating and overseeing multi-disciplined real estate and capital projects within the Life Sciences/Biotech/Pharmaceuticals sector. Responsible for end-to-end project management, you will collaborate seamlessly with design, preconstruction, and construction teams to ensure the flawless execution of turnkey solutions. As a key contributor to our integrated business model, you will directly manage project delivery, working alongside external engineering firms, interdisciplinary teams, estimators, and construction experts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate site-specific project execution plans.
  • Review and manage document revisions for safety and quality plans.
  • Manage overall project budgets, costs, schedules, procurement, and field management.
  • Cook up and coordinate with Trade Partners, vendors, and consultants.
  • Analyze and track critical milestones to maintain project schedules.
  • Review and approve trade partner construction proposals and pricing/scopes.
  • Manage Accounts Payable and review/approve final invoices and payment applications.
  • Conduct/support monthly internal project performance status reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, process, chemical, civil/structural, or electrical engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 6-10+ years of experience in increasingly challenging positions, preferably in a construction organization.
  • 2-3+ years of minimum experience in management within the life sciences market.
  • Prior experience on projects ranging from >$5M to $75M.
  • Strong analytical ability and capacity to interpret data.
  • Comfortable with change and ambiguity, adaptable, collaborative, and a systems thinker.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and focused on developing future leaders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
