About the role

Urgent hire for a tenured Senior Project Manager to lead a division, helping grow into a leadership position with a strong pipeline of projects kicking off this summer.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, monitor, and maintain a project schedule collaboratively by gathering input from the project team during Pre-construction and construction using lean principles.
  • Lead the on-boarding and contract negotiations with trade partners and 3rd party vendors, ensuring buyout aligns with the project budget.
  • Work with the Pre-construction team, architects, engineers, and trade partners to coordinate BIM and oversee conflict resolution.
  • Effectively communicate project status to clients and company leadership through detailed reporting on budget, schedule, quality, safety, and changes.
  • Conduct weekly OAC meetings and provide required reports to keep all stakeholders informed of project status and potential issues.
  • Conduct weekly coordination meetings with trades, vendors, and key personnel.
  • Provide monthly invoices and oversee documentation for timely project funding and payments to trade partners and vendors.
  • Work closely with clients, architects, and engineers to manage scope changes, documenting impacts on cost, schedule, and quality for owner approval.
  • Oversee inspections to eliminate re-work and lead project closeout through proper punch list protocols.
  • Collaborate with the project superintendent, trade partners, and client to develop and enforce a project safety plan.
  • Assist with documenting project scope, plan development, and verifying design meets contractual obligations.
  • Provide technical assistance in selecting partners, subcontractors, and suppliers required to complete the project.
  • Oversee design documents and maintain version control across the team.
  • Collaborate on project phasing plans aligned with schedule and estimated costs.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture (or equivalent).
  • 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Previous experience with LAUSD/DSA projects required.
  • True leadership experience managing teams, client management, goal setting, and achieving results.
  • Internally motivated to grow a company and lead.
  • Estimating experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Cost+, negotiated work, MS Project, and Procore.
  • CPM scheduling and planning.
  • Ability to estimate change orders, pay apps, etc.

Pay

Competitive base salary between $150,000–$190,000 (depending on experience).
