Job Summary
CPPI is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of education construction projects, including K-12 schools, colleges, universities, campus renovations, additions, and ground-up facilities. This position is responsible for managing all phases of a project, from preconstruction planning through final completion, while maintaining budget, schedule, quality, and client satisfaction goals. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for owners, school districts, university representatives, architects, consultants, and trade partners, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.

Minimum Requirements
- Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction project management experience.
- Experience managing K-12 and/or higher education construction projects required.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- OSHA certification preferred.
- Experience working with public-sector clients, including school districts, colleges, and universities.
- Strong leadership experience managing project teams, field personnel, and subcontractors.
- Understanding of educational facility construction, including occupied renovations, campus logistics, and phased construction.
- Proficiency with project management, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting software.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with owners, administrators, design professionals, and project stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, contracts, and project documentation.
- Commitment to jobsite safety, quality control, and exceptional client service.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead education construction projects through all phases, from preconstruction through project closeout.
- Serve as the primary contact for owners, school districts, university representatives, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, procurement activities, and overall project execution.
- Partner with field leadership to develop site logistics plans, phasing strategies, and construction sequencing for occupied campuses.
- Direct preconstruction activities, including estimating support, scope reviews, value engineering, and subcontractor procurement.
- Monitor project financial performance through forecasting, cost control, reporting, and profitability tracking.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, public procurement regulations, and owner-specific standards.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety and risk management, particularly within active educational environments.
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control efforts throughout project execution.
- Manage change orders, contract modifications, and resolve issues to minimize project impacts.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones align with academic calendars and occupancy requirements.
- Implement corrective action plans when schedule or budget concerns arise.
- Cover project closeout activities, including punch lists, commissioning, training, warranty documentation, and owner turnover.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support future opportunities and repeat business.
- Identify process improvements, cost-saving opportunities, and innovative construction solutions.
- Mentor and support the growth of Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other team members.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of project and company objectives.
