About the Role
The Project Manager IV coordinates all aspects of assigned commercial equipment projects from receipt of order through design, procurement, fabrication, delivery, installation, startup, and warranty expiration. This role establishes schedules and resource requirements, directs efforts, and monitors progress to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and with zero defects. The position also handles cost and revenue recognition, customer billings, and accounts receivable follow-up. Additionally, the Project Manager IV may direct third-party equipment fabrication shops and prepare fast-turnaround budgetary estimates for standard equipment.
Responsibilities
- Work safely and fully participate in all corporate safety programs.
- Ensure work complies with environmental and government requirements.
- Lead or participate in process improvement efforts related to project execution.
- Develop objectives, priorities, budgets, schedules, and resource requirements for assigned projects with minimal supervision.
- Review customer purchase orders/contracts, cost estimates, and specifications to resolve scope, cost, or schedule discrepancies.
- Interface with Sales, Financial, and Customer Service teams to meet project objectives.
- Communicate project scope to all involved participants and issue/maintain Project Initiation Documents.
- Develop detailed project schedules and resource requirement estimates.
- Direct the preparation of engineering drawings and technical specifications, ensuring verification of project scope.
- Ensure timely submittals to customers and fabricators.
- Coordinate efforts across departments (engineering, purchasing, quality assurance, field service, production, and shipping/receiving).
- Issue purchase requisitions and complete goods receipt for proper cost and revenue recognition.
- Establish and maintain project budgets and files.
- Conduct periodic team meetings as needed.
- Direct the preparation and issuance of customer documentation, such as submittals and Operating and Maintenance Manuals.
- Issue invoicing instructions to customer service personnel and direct project close-out.
- Ensure all close-out and acceptance documentation is in place and resolve post-delivery warranty issues.
- Travel to project sites to meet with customers or engineers and resolve project-related problems.
- Track project costs and ensure proper revenue recognition using SAP Project Systems.
- Provide periodic status reports, cost reports, and financial projections.
- Identify and value asset base at project completion.
- Maintain revenue forecasts according to accounting rules (ASC606 or % of completion).
- Assist in the selling process by assembling and issuing project cost estimates and proposals.
- Review contract terms, conditions, and scope of supply with Sales prior to finalizing contracts.
- Participate in customer meetings, conferences, and presentations as needed.
- Prepare fast-turnaround budgetary estimates for standard equipment.
- Ensure a fair procurement process, generate purchase requisitions, and approve payments.
- Monitor and control supplier adherence to specifications, schedule, and scope.
- Travel to vendor and contractor locations to assess progress and expedite work as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university; Engineering degree preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in large equipment cost estimates and proposals.
- 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 7-10 years of experience as a project manager.
- GAC-related applications engineering experience is preferred.

Schedule
Mondays - Fridays, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hours per week). Flexible hours between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
