Project Manager (IT / OT)

About the role

Location: Bethpage, NY (11714). Contract to Hire position, mostly remote with travel within the client’s territory; reliable transportation required. During the first week, majority of time will be spent at the Bethpage office for project orientation. The PM will serve in a programmatic leadership role for a mission‑critical utility facility with extensive IT and OT system requirements, managing dynamic teams supporting customers on‑site and remotely, overseeing the entire program from concept through implementation, transition to go‑live, and ongoing support, ensuring strategic alignment with business objectives. Must have extensive experience in IT and OT on‑premises systems and services, a solid track record in financial management including budgeting and forecasting, and professional certifications in project management.

Responsibilities

• Strategically guide the program, tracking schedules to ensure timely delivery within budget and meeting customer standards and contractual obligations.
• Lead, mentor, and manage diverse managed team of IT and OT professionals, fostering an environment of professionalism, innovation, and excellence.
• Partner with customer Program Management, finance, and Customer’s contract and procurement management to ensure effective program support, with a focus on customer satisfaction and service integrity.
• Direct the technical strategy and establish best IT/OT Service practices.
• Encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement, keeping ahead of industry trends and integrating new technologies and methodologies as appropriate.
• Maintain clear communication across all teams and departments, ensuring strategic alignment with broader company goals and priorities.
• Display adaptability by taking on additional responsibilities as needed, proactively responding to changing business and management demands.
• Respond to customer inquiries and related correspondence.
• Provide input to schedulers, procurement and contracts for look‑ahead coordination, and manage staffing to ensure customer satisfaction and schedule compliance.
