Project Manager, IT/Finance
Client is seeking a Project Manager with strong IT and Finance experience to serve as the conduit between business finance teams, IT, and upstream business partners. This resource will support a critical revenue reconciliation effort following Q2 quarter close, where missing revenue reporting details have required Finance to investigate upstream issues, coordinate with IT, and bring the right stakeholders together to resolve reporting gaps.
About the role
A finance area is currently struggling to obtain the information needed from upstream business partners to accurately report and reconcile revenue. During Q2 quarter close, revenue was identified as missing or incomplete, requiring the revenue business finance team to work with IT and multiple business leaders to locate details, understand root causes, and correct reporting issues. The selected Project Manager will help organize and drive the effort to find the revenue numbers, reconcile upstream issues, and improve coordination between Finance, IT, and business partner teams.
Responsibilities

- Drive investigation and resolution of upstream issues that have resulted in missing or incomplete revenue reconciliation details.
- Coordinate meetings and working sessions across IT, Finance, and business stakeholder groups.
- Identify and bring the right team members together to resolve reporting, coding, booking, and pricing-related issues.
- Document meeting outcomes, decisions, dependencies, action items, owners, and deadlines.
- Follow up consistently with stakeholders to ensure action items are completed and blockers are escalated.
- Support revenue reporting and reconciliation efforts by helping teams locate missing details and clarify data ownership.
- Partner with IT teams to understand system, data, reporting, and process dependencies.
- Maintain project structure, communication cadence, issue logs, and status updates throughout the 6-month engagement.
- Operate in a hands-on, operational capacity to keep the reconciliation effort moving forward.
Requirements
- Project Management experience within IT, Finance, business operations, revenue operations, or a related enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated ability to act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Experience supporting Finance, revenue reporting, reconciliation, close processes, or financial operations.
- Understanding of upstream and downstream process dependencies, especially where system inputs affect reporting outputs.
- Familiarity with concepts such as coding, booking, pricing, revenue reporting, data reconciliation, and operational controls.
- Strong facilitation skills, including setting up calls, managing agendas, driving discussion, and ensuring clear follow-through.
- Ability to work through ambiguous, complex issues where ownership, source data, or process details may not be immediately clear.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to summarize issues, risks, and action plans for cross-functional audiences.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and workstreams at once.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working inside or closely with IT while supporting Finance stakeholders.
- Background with revenue recognition, order-to-cash, booking, pricing, billing, ERP, reporting, or financial systems environments.
