What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Reviews pricing, bids and confirms accuracy of material, equipment, and production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure completeness and validity.
  • Prepares bids for distribution to market. Includes drawings, specifications, test reports, and other exhibits that may be required.
  • Qualifies subcontractors prior to award. Reviews bids from subcontractors for conformity to contract requirements and recommends acceptable bids.
  • Negotiates contract scope and value with bidder. Recommends awards and administers subcontracts.
  • Processes subcontractor change orders. Requests or approves amendments to or extensions of contracts.
  • Advises scheduling of contractual rights and obligations.
  • Compiles data for preparing estimates.
  • Reviews all correspondence concerning subcontractors and responds as necessary.
  • Establishes and maintains contact with subcontractors to ensure the smooth working of the contract awarding process.
  • Acts as liaison between company and subcontractors, clients and owners.
  • Acts as liaison with accounting on subcontractor payments.
  • Conduct/lead project meetings. Play an active role with project scheduling.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
  • 3+ years of project management experience with commercial construction projects.
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.
  • Strong organization, time-management, verbal and written communication skills.
