Project Manager (Industrial EPC Projects)
Job Summary
Manage multiple projects ranging in value from $500,000 to $50,000,000. Establish a Project Management Plan for each assigned project: defining the project's goals, objectives, risks, assumptions, staffing levels, roles and responsibilities, milestones and deliverables. Manage submittals, RFIs, drawing/design development, construction handoff, material procurement/delivery. Coordinate project workforce needs with Construction Manager and Superintendent, manage internal and/or external contractors or trades onsite as required, work with the Construction Manager and Superintendent to coordinate requirements for equipment rentals and company equipment/tools. Manage entire construction process to completion in order to ensure project delivers on time and within budget. Ensure all contractual issues are resolved and dealt with in a timely manner. Plan all project timelines, milestones and deliverables. Identify and resolve conflicts within design, purchasing and construction. Interface with client representatives, architect representative, subcontractors, security, etc. as required. Coordinate with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable regarding invoicing and payments. Develop and maintain financial forecasts of revenues and costs generated by active projects on a routine basis. Manage trade contractor site meetings, RFIs, invoices, and document control process. Observe that Work Safe Practices are being followed during site visits. Verify accuracy of change orders and ensures change orders processed to completion. Lead the project team by facilitating and nurturing lines of communication between project members of various disciplines, including engineering, purchasing, expediting, finance, and field construction crews. Perform additional assignments per Project Director’s direction. Some travel is required.
Qualifications
Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred
Experience with power plants and petrochemical plants preferred
Experience working with or for Industrial EPC companies preferred
Cooling Tower experience preferred
Previous project management experience required
Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and Outlook proficiency required
