Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance of projects with schedule and budget through thorough informal communication and regular meetings.
  • Determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures, staffing requirements, and resource allocation for project phases.
  • Establish work plans and staffing for each phase of the project, and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  • Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as needed.
  • Support Engineering and Automation in coordination of technical decisions.
  • Monitor progress, foresee potential problems, and coordinate corrective actions with relevant parties.
  • Regularly monitor purchasing activities and meet with personnel to ensure proper operation.
  • Review and requisitions to ensure compliance with company standards and policies.
  • Prepare necessary information and "Request for Quote" documentation for manufacturing and significant commercial purchases.
  • Negotiate directly with suppliers and vendors for high-value and/or critical contracts.
  • Select and coordinate manufacturing activities.
  • Coordinate resources for Installation and Commissioning.
  • Handle construction-related problems (commercial and technical).
  • Monitor progress and manage final stages to ensure proper closure of projects.

Requirements

  • Combined 5+ years of project management and/or comparable management experience.
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience leading large industrial projects of $100M+.
  • Industrial process equipment or industrial construction experience is required.
  • Strong technical background including knowledge of industrial capital equipment & components and cross-functional responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment including process systems such as air handling, heat treatment, piping, thermodynamics, heat transfer, mass transfer, material handling, and air flow.
  • Commercial contract knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to adapt to changes and work with people to overcome challenges.
  • Professional interpersonal skills (oral & written communication and persuasion skills).

Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with project management software such as Primavera P6.
