About the role
Create and develop relationships supportive of the Baker Group mission statement with employees, internal and external customers. Provide opportunities to increase business unit revenues by marketing and cross-selling products and services provided by Baker Group. Manage projects from design to owner training, maintaining and growing the "Customer for Life" concept.
Responsibilities
- Understand industrial automation systems and manufacturing, processing, and HVAC systems
- Offer and implement solutions to customers through engineering and field personnel
- Develop relationships with existing customers and pursue opportunities for long-term customer relationships and revenue opportunities
- Develop solutions for customers utilizing internal estimating software and standard product selections
- Review solutions with Baker Group team members prior to submitting to customer
- Initiate turnover meetings to engineering and field discussing project scope, safety, timelines, etc.
- Procure subcontracts as required for installation
- Manage the project to ensure financial success of the project
- Accurate daily time and equipment reporting
- Cross-sell and cold-call
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or Engineering preferred
- Experience in industrial and process controls
- Experience in estimating and managing automation projects, as well as, building and growing customer relationships
- A good driving record
